Central Texas TeleHealth Network
The Telemedicine Program links specialists and educators from the main Scott & White campus in Temple, Texas, with six of Scott & White's 15 regional clinics, as well as five rural community hospitals and five designated rural healthcare clinics spread over a 60,000-square-mile area of Central Texas .
The Program uses a desktop telemedicine system (Medreach by e-Medsoft.com) to bring interactive specialty care directly from the specialists office to patients in the rural hospitals or clinics. Over a dozen specialty areas are currently active, with more being added on an ongoing basis. Each of the rural hospitals also has an educational room unit, and the system has the ability to broadcast interactive educational programs for both providers and patients to all sites simultaneously.
The Scott & White mission is "to provide personalize, high-quality healthcare enhanced by medical education and research." The Scott & White Telemedicine Program is an extenstion of this mission, emphasizing protection of the patient-physician relationship, quality and education.
Our telehealth partners include clinics at Gatesville, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Taylor, Rockdale, College Station and Waco.
