Transportation Options

Scott & White and other independent transit companies provide patients easy access to transportation between regional clinics and the main hospital. See schedule and routes offered (schedule is also available in pdf ).

Courtesy shuttle services are available in the Waco and Georgetown areas. The Waco shuttle service carries patients to the Temple Main Campus while the Georgetown Care-a-Van drops patients off at the University Medical Campus in Round Rock.

Visiting Hours

Regular hours: 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Visiting hours vary on certain units. Please check with the nurse in charge. In general, visiting hours end at 8 p.m.

Patient Rooms and Privacy

To assure privacy for each patient in a two-person room, visitors are not allowed to spend the night in semi-private rooms. Additionally, there are times when visitors will be asked to leave the room when the other patient is receiving care.

Your name may appear on a census board at the nursing desk to assist all of your care givers as they organize your care. If you wish your name not to appear on this board, your room door or other areas, please inform the nursing staff. The omission of your name will in no way compromise your care.

Likewise, if for any reason you wish your admission as a patient at Scott & White not to be made known should you receive telephone calls or inquiries, please tell the nursing staff who will notify the hospital telephone operator.

8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday - Friday

If you need further assistance, please call Patient Relations, 254-724-3035.

After regular business hours, call 254-724-2111 and ask for the Assistant Nursing Director.

Pharmacy Hours

Main Clinic Pharmacy:

8:30 a.m. - 6 p.m., Monday - Friday

Accepted payments: American Express, Discover, MasterCard and VISA.

Children's Clinic Pharmacy:

9 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday - Friday

Smoking Policy
