Reality Education for Drivers (RED)
The RED program is a one-day hospital-based injury prevention program presented by staff of Scott & White Trauma Center and Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in partnership with the Texas Department of Transportation.
The RED program serves as an educational sentencing alternative for juveniles (ages 15-19) identified through the court system. These participants will have exhibited risky traffic behavior, endangering themselves or others (speeding, non-use of seatbelts, minors in possession/consumption of alcohol, driving while intoxicated, etc.) and referred to the program by the judge hearing their case.
How to Sign Up
The RED program classes are held the second and third Saturdays of every month at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center and the fourth Saturday of every month at Scott & White Hospital - Temple.
Class space is limited, so registration is on a first-come-first-serve basis. The class is offered FREE of charge to all participants.
