Otolaryngology (ENT) - Head and Neck Surgery
Otolaryngology is the modern name for one of the oldest medical and surgical specialties. Often referred to as ENT physicians, otolaryngologists diagnose and treat diseases and disorders of the ear, nose and throat, plus related parts of the head and neck, including the sinuses, mouth, voice box (larynx) and the soft tissues of the neck.
The Division of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery of Scott & White Clinic, Texas A&M University System Health Science Center College of Medicine, includes six teams dedicated in depth to the study, diagnosis and treatment of complex medical problems.
- Otology/Neurotology (diseases of the ear)
- Head and Neck Surgical Oncology
- Laryngology and Voice Disorders
- Speech-Language Pathology and Communicative Disorders
The Hearing and Balance Center, located in Temple, Texas, is also available to provide comprehensive, experienced medical care for your hearing and balance-related problems through a collaborative effort between four specialized teams: Otology/Neurotology, Audiology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Speech-Language Pathology and Communicative Disorders.

Otolaryngology is a referral-only specialty. Your primary care physician needs to see you and request a consultation with one of Scott & White's otolaryngologists.
