Applications for our 2017 program are being accepted through March 24, 2017.

We enjoy working with students and appreciate the opportunity to expose students to the healthcare sector.  Volunteering in a medical center is unlike any other volunteer opportunity.  Because we are a health system offering many health services, our patients expect professional healing, nurturing, caring, maturity and privacy — challenges that at times can be difficult.

Every summer, we select teenagers for the Junior Volunteer Program to volunteer in various areas of the medical center.  Department participation and responsibilities vary.  Students who love serving others or are interested in getting a glimpse of the healthcare field would be a great fit for this volunteer opportunity.  While our volunteers don't have direct patient healthcare contact, the program gives an extensive overview of what Baylor Scott & White Health does every day.
