The Hilton Garden Inn, located directly across the street from the main Scott & White campus, is the preferred Hotel for Scott & White visitors and Temple's only full service Hotel and Conference Center. In addition to a tenured, well trained staff, we are the only hotel to offer complimentary shuttle service to and from Scott & White facilities. For your comfort, all guestrooms and suites are equipped with the exclusive Hilton Garden Inn Sleep System coupled with the Hilton Suite Dreams Sleep Set as well as complimentary Wired and Wireless High Speed Internet and HD Flat Screen Televisions. Facilities and services also include the Pavilion Pantry, Fitness Center, Heated Indoor Pool and Whirlpool as well as a fully equipped Business Center. Within the hotel is our highly regarded proprietary restaurant, the Great American Grill. We offer a cooked to order Breakfast and Breakfast Buffet as well as Lunch, Dinner, Evening Room Service and a comfortable Lounge.

Discharge Information
Small equipment items are available that are not intended to be disposable or taken home on discharge. These items include: remote controls for TV, telephone, heating pads, clocks, calendars, linens and pillows
Other items are one-patient use items which you are welcome to take home with you. These items include: plastic bedpans, urinals, emesis basins and bath basins. Dressings and other hospital supplies may be given to you by your nurse or other staff.
Usual discharge time is before 11:00 a.m. but depends on your physician and other care givers completing your care. You will receive instructions from your physician and nurses as well as other members of the care team on the day of discharge. Please do not leave the unit until you have been given these instructions in writing by the R.N. on duty.
Food and Dining Options
McLane Dining Room
Located on the first floor of the main hospital between the Sunshine Gift Shop and Blood Donation Center.
Breakfast: 6:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Lunch: 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Dinner: 4:30 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Midnight: 1:30 a.m. - 3:30 a.m.
Salad bar, pizzas and to-go items are available 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.
The McLane Dining Room features a variety of dining options, including: home-cooked meals, hamburgers and fries, hot wings, panini sandwiches, homemade pizza and freshly packaged to-go sandwiches, salads and fruit items.
Freshens
Located by Brindley Circles entrance, across from the Sunshine Gift Shop.
Monday - Friday: 6:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Freshen's is the nation's largest frozen yogurt and smoothie company and features blended yogurt, low calorie, Nature's Energy and high protein smoothies in addition to yogurt with toppings and shakes.
The Freshen's station also offers freshly packaged to-go sandwiches, fruit and salads, chips and power bars. A Starbucks "We Proudly Brew" coffee stand is located within the station as well.
The Grind
Located in clinic lobby near the main clinic entrance.
Monday - Friday: 8 a.m. - 10:30 a.m., 11 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
The Grind offers freshly brewed coffee, bottle drinks, breakfast pastries, kolaches and tacos and freshly-packaged to-go sandwiches and salads.

Patient Rooms and Privacy
To assure privacy for each patient in a two-person room, visitors are not allowed to spend the night in semi-private rooms. Additionally, there are times when visitors will be asked to leave the room when the other patient is receiving care.
Your name may appear on a census board at the nursing desk to assist all of your care givers as they organize your care. If you wish your name not to appear on this board, your room door or other areas, please inform the nursing staff. The omission of your name will in no way compromise your care. Likewise, if for any reason you wish your admission as a patient at Scott & White not to be made known should you receive telephone calls or inquiries, please tell the nursing staff who will notify the hospital telephone operator.

Student Involvement
Scott & White is a teaching institution. On occasion, care may be provided by students because they are in an approved education program. A Scott & White staff member will always be involved in all aspects of care in addition to student care given.

Located in the lobbies of the Hospital, Clinic and McLane Dining Room (Dining Room ATM is for S&W Employee Credit Union members)

Mail and Stamps
Personal mail may be given to the nurse or unit clerk for mailing. Mail is delivered to patients by volunteers.

Located on the ground floor in Room 32, adjacent to the Brindley Circles elevators.
Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Mail is picked up twice each day. Stamps can be purchased individually or in books. For more information, call 254-724-2201.

Security and Lost and Found
Security officers are availabe 24 hours a day. The Security Office is located in entrance of the Emergency Department on the gound floor of the South Tower. To contact the Security Office for non-emergencies, call 254-724-2344.
