Scott & White Healthcare - Round Rock announces Kevin Smith as chief operating officer for Round Rock Region hospitals

ROUND ROCK, Texas – Kevin Smith has taken on a new role as chief operating officer for the hospitals within the Scott & White Healthcare - Round Rock Region. Smith has held various administrative and leadership roles at Scott & White, and his skills and background serve to accelerate the organization’s successes as they prepare for the future.

Smith has worked for Scott & White Healthcare since 2007 and brings over 14 years of experience to this role, having served in various clinical positions, including a radiology and nuclear medicine technologist. Other positions include directorships at both College Station Medical Center and Scott & White Hospital-Round Rock as well as serving as chief operating officer of Scott & White Hospital-Taylor.

Smith holds a master’s degree in health administration from Texas A&M Health Science Center and a bachelor of science in radiology sciences from Midwestern State University. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and has served in a volunteer capacity for the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce and the board of directors for the Taylor Chamber of Commerce.
