Re: Update on Scott & White/Lake of the Hills Regional Medical Center
TEMPLE, Texas – Scott & White Healthcare continues to receive proposals as developers express interest in partnering with the healthcare system in building the Lake of the Hills Regional Medical Center. Since announcing a search for a new developer on February 8, Scott & White has received roughly a dozen proposals for land options from developers and others indicating interest in being part of the project.
“We are heartened by the response to-date, which reaffirms our belief that we will be able to identify a new partner in a timely fashion,” said Peter Brumleve, Chief Strategy Officer for Scott & White Healthcare. “We of course won’t be able to accept every proposal, but the response has provided us with several potential options for making the best choice.”
Scott & White announced earlier it had terminated a contract to acquire 22 acres located south of Marble Falls near the intersection of U.S. 281 and TX71. Improvements required under that contract had not been made by the developer.
“Our goal is to keep this process on track and moving forward,” said Brumleve “We will scrutinize the proposals we’ve received using a host of criteria, including compatibility with the infrastructure work already started by the City of Marble Falls.”
