Brenham hospital earns Top Performer recognition
- The Joint Commission names hospital for excellent performance -
BRENHAM, Texas – Scott & White Hospital – Brenham, a part of Baylor Scott & White Health, has been named Top Performer on Key Quality Measures® by The Joint Commission, the leading accreditor of health care organizations in America.
"Being named as a top quality performer is great news to our organization, and to the patients and families who depend on the Brenham hospital for their care," said Jason Jennings, FACHE, chief executive officer for Scott & White Healthcare - College Station Region. "We see that obtaining Joint Commission recognition for performance in quality is another step toward achieving excellence in our commitment to the public we serve."
Scott & White Hospital – Brenham was recognized by The Joint Commission for exemplary performance in using evidence-based clinical processes that are shown to improve care for certain conditions. The clinical processes focus on care for heart attack, pneumonia, surgery, children’s asthma, stroke and venous thromboembolism, as well as inpatient psychiatric services. New this year is a category for immunization for pneumonia and influenza.
