Scott & White - Round Rock welcomes new pediatric medical director
- Bradley R. Berg, MD, to lead general pediatrics team at Round Rock clinic -
ROUND ROCK, Texas – Today Scott & White Healthcare-Round Rock welcomes Bradley R. Berg, M.D., Ph.D, FAAP, FACPE, as the Medical Director for General Pediatrics. Starting today, September 9, Dr. Berg will lead a team of general pediatricians at the Scott & White Clinic – Round Rock at 425 University Blvd.
"We’re very excited for Dr. Berg to be joining Scott & White Healthcare," said Rob Watson, M.D., chief medical officer for Scott & White Healthcare-Round Rock Region. "He brings a passion for patient-centered care including a strong background in patient satisfaction, evidence-based medicine, and leadership. He will be a tremendous asset in making Scott and White – Round Rock the preferred destination in Central Texas for Pediatrics, both from the patient’s perspective as well as for staff and providers."
Dr. Berg joins Scott & White from Skagit Regional Health in Mount Vernon, WA, where he served as Chair for the Department of Pediatrics. He is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
"I specialize in general pediatrics, the overall care of children from birth to 21 years of age, and am especially interested in mental health and developmental disorders," said Dr. Berg. "I enjoy working to ensure parents understand their child’s diagnosis and include them in all treatment decisions. My firm belief is that parents are the front line of children’s health and involving them in all aspects of care ensures the best possible outcome so that all children can obtain their fullest potential."
Dr. Berg received both his medical degree and a doctorate of philosophy in biophysics and physiology from the University of Rochester. He served as an assistant professor of clinical medicine at Pacific Northwest University and completed his pediatric residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
He is currently a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American College of Physician Executives and a Fellow Emeritus of the American Society of Pediatric Nephrology.
He has served on several boards and committees including the Board of Directors/Physician Governance Committee and Chair for the Compensation Committee at Skagit Regional Health, as well as the Blue Cross/Blue Shield Advisory Forum for the Northwest Region.
