Meet the Marrow Donor Program Staff

Christian Cable, M.D.
Medical Director

Dr. Cable is a graduate of Texas A&M College of Medicine in College Station and completed an Internal Medicine Residency and Medical Oncology Fellowship at Scott & White Memorial Hospital.

Following a Bone Marrow Transplant Clinical Fellowship at the University of Florida, he returned to Scott & White as the Director of the Blood & Marrow Transplant Program as well as Medical Director of the Marrow Donor Program.

Debbie Mabry, M(ACSP)I,SI
Program Manager

Debbie came to Scott & White in 1975 after obtaining a degree in Microbiology from Texas Tech University. Prior to coming to the Marrow Donor Program, she was a technologist in the Scott & White Tissue Culture Laboratory and later, the supervisor of the Immunology Laboratory.

Debbie was named coordinator of the Marrow Donor Program when Scott & White became a donor center for the National Marrow Donor Program in 1994 and is now the program manager.

Lawrence Ryan
Search and Retention Specialist

Lawrence Joined the Scott & White Marrow Donor Program in the winter of 2015. After two years of working within the Scott & White system, Lawrence accepted a position with the Marrow Donor Program as our Search and Retention Coordinator.

Lawrence is usually the first point of contact that a matched donor has with the Marrow Donor Program. He also educates the community on the importance of joining the marrow registry and keeping your address current at all times.

Lindsey Crawford
Community Engagement Representative
Bryan/College Station and the Brazos Valley

Lindsey joined the Scott & White Marrow Donor Program in 2013 as the community engagement representative for our College Station Donor Center after graduating from Sam Houston State University with a degree in Health.

Lindsey is the point of contact for organizations, churches, schools and community groups in the Brazos Valley who wish to set up local drive to register donors for the National Marrow Donor Program Registry.

Kelly Baker
Community Engagement Representative
Temple, Killeen and Waco Area

Kelly Baker joined the Scott & White Marrow Donor Program in 2015 as the Community Engagement Representative in the Temple, Killeen and Waco region. She is a graduate of Baylor University.

Kelly is the point of contact for organizations, churches, schools and community groups who wish to set up local events to register donors for the Be The Match Registry.

Nancy Goodnight
Special Events Coordinator

Nancy has been a volunteer for the Scott & White Marrow Donor Program for several years, helping with the Lone Star Circle of Life and the Miracle Match Marathon. She is now one of our community engagement representatives as well as special events coordinator.

Nancy was named Race Director for the Miracle Match Marathon in 2008. Nancy is the point of contact for organizations, churches, schools and community groups who wish to volunteer for the Lone Star Circle of Life or the Miracle Match Marathon.
