The RED program serves as an educational sentencing alternative for juveniles (ages 15-19) identified through the court system.

These participants will have exhibited risky traffic behavior, endangering themselves or others (speeding, non-use of seat belts, minors in possession/consumption of alcohol, driving while intoxicated, etc.) and referred to the program by the judge hearing their case.

WED AUG 1912PM - 1PMMulti-Organ Transplant Support Group - Scott & White Clinic - Temple, Brindley Circles Entrance, Conference Room 401C, 2401 S. 31st Street, Temple, TX 76508Scott & White Multi-Organ Transplant Support Group is a voluntary, open group for those in the transplant community or interested in transplantation to meet with others who may share experience, gather support and insight and have fun.

The discussions are confidential. Patients and family members coping with chronic illness and transplantation issues often find themselves isolated and with many questions. We are here to help reduce their burden and provide a sense of hope.

Patients from any organ group or facility are welcome, and many bring a support person or caregiver. It is helpful for patients to mingle with others who may be at a different stage of the evaluation or transplantation process.

Scott & White's diabetes support group program can help you explore issues important to you and help you begin to make life changes.

The RED program serves as an educational sentencing alternative for juveniles (ages 15-19) identified through the court system.

These participants will have exhibited risky traffic behavior, endangering themselves or others (speeding, non-use of seat belts, minors in possession/consumption of alcohol, driving while intoxicated, etc.) and referred to the program by the judge hearing their case.

The discussions are confidential. Patients and family members coping with chronic illness and transplantation issues often find themselves isolated and with many questions. We are here to help reduce their burden and provide a sense of hope.

Patients from any organ group or facility are welcome, and many bring a support person or caregiver. It is helpful for patients to mingle with others who may be at a different stage of the evaluation or transplantation process.

The RED program serves as an educational sentencing alternative for juveniles (ages 15-19) identified through the court system.

These participants will have exhibited risky traffic behavior, endangering themselves or others (speeding, non-use of seat belts, minors in possession/consumption of alcohol, driving while intoxicated, etc.) and referred to the program by the judge hearing their case.

The discussions are confidential. Patients and family members coping with chronic illness and transplantation issues often find themselves isolated and with many questions. We are here to help reduce their burden and provide a sense of hope.

Patients from any organ group or facility are welcome, and many bring a support person or caregiver. It is helpful for patients to mingle with others who may be at a different stage of the evaluation or transplantation process.

The RED program serves as an educational sentencing alternative for juveniles (ages 15-19) identified through the court system.

These participants will have exhibited risky traffic behavior, endangering themselves or others (speeding, non-use of seat belts, minors in possession/consumption of alcohol, driving while intoxicated, etc.) and referred to the program by the judge hearing their case.

Physician referral is required. Scott & White physicians should send physician referral through Epic as Diabetes Education. Outside physicians should fax a referral form to 512-509-3490.

SESSION 1 TOPICS
Diabetes symptoms, treatment goals, glucose monitoring, carbohydrate basics, reading a food label and benefits of exercise

SESSION 2 TOPICS
Hypo/hyperglycemia causes, symptoms and treatments; healthy food choices, portion control and dining out

SESSION 3 TOPICS
Foot care, lowering sodium and choosing healthy types of fats

SESSION 4 TOPICS
Stress reduction, benefits of fiber and omega-3s, healthy weight loss and dietary supplements
