Hero's Helpers
Who Are Hero's Helpers?
Established in 2004, Hero's Helpers is a group of volunteer blood donors and Blood Center supporters who play an integral part in the Blood Center team.
Hero's Helpers meet on the first Thursday of every other month to brainstorm upcoming themes and giveaways for the Blood Center. We know our Helpers can't always make it to the meetings, and that's okay! We have plenty of e-members who contribute some great ideas. After every meeting, we e-mail the meeting minutes to all the members so everyone is included.
Helpers assist in approaching and securing potential sponsors for upcoming promotions or monthly giveaways. They also help promote the Blood Center via word of mouth, e-mail, flyers and phone calls. Some Hero's Helpers live or work away from the Blood Center's hub in Temple, so they help to spread our promotional materials to potential donors for blood drives in their area.
The role of a Hero's Helper is very special and important to the Blood Center!
How Do I Join?
You can make a difference by letting us know I Want to Help! We'll contact you shortly after we receive your request to personally thank you for joining and to give information about upcoming meetings and promotions at the Blood Center. We stay in touch mainly through e-mail and will frequently contact you with flyers for special giveaways, events or critical needs.
