Thrombocytopenia

ExitCare ImageThrombocytopenia means there are not enough platelets in your blood. Platelets are tiny cells in your blood. When you start bleeding, platelets clump together around the cut or injury to stop the bleeding. This process is called blood clotting. Not having enough platelets can cause bleeding problems.
