Tennis Elbow

Tennis elbow can happen in any sport or job where you overuse your elbow. It is caused by doing the same motion over and over. This makes small tears in the forearm muscles. It can also cause muscle redness, soreness, and puffiness (inflammation).

HOME CARE

  • Rest.

  • Use your other hand or arm that is not affected. Change your grip.

  • Only take medicine as told by your doctor.

  • Put ice on the area after activity.

  • Put ice in a plastic bag.

  • Place a towel between your skin and the bag.

  • Leave the ice on for 15 to 20 minutes, 3 to 4 times a day.

  • Wear a splint or sling as told by your doctor. This lets the area rest and heal faster.
