Sinus Headache

A sinus headache happens when your sinuses become clogged or puffy (swollen). Sinus headaches can be mild or severe.

HOME CARE

  • Take your medicines (antibiotics) as told. Finish them even if you start to feel better.

  • Only take medicine as told by your doctor.

  • Use a nose spray if you feel stuffed up (congested).

GET HELP RIGHT AWAY IF:

  • You have a fever.

  • You have trouble seeing.

  • You suddenly have pain in your face or head.

  • You start to twitch or shake (seizure).

  • You are confused.

  • You get headaches more than once a week.

  • Light or sound bothers you.

  • You feel sick to your stomach (nauseous) or throw up (vomit).

  • Your headaches do not get better with treatment.

MAKE SURE YOU:

  • Understand these instructions.

  • Will watch your condition.

  • Will get help right away if you are not doing well or get worse.
