Lymphangiography

This is a specialized x-ray using a dye which shows up on the x-ray. It looks at your lymphatic system. This system consists of lymph vessels and your lymph nodes. The lymph vessels are the vessels which carry tissue fluids in your body into the lymph nodes. These are the glands like the ones in your neck that can swell when you have a sore throat. Certain tumors spread along the lymphatic system including lymphomas and Hodgkin's disease. This is also used to evaluate people who have swelling in the legs or may have a blockage in the lymphatic system.
