Gingivitis

ExitCare Image Gingivitis is an infection of the teeth and bones that support the teeth. Your gums become red, sore, and puffy (swollen). It is caused by germs that build up on your teeth and gums (plaque).

HOME CARE

  • Floss and then brush your teeth.

  • Brush at least twice a day.

  • Floss at least once a day.

  • Avoid sugar between meals.

  • Do not drink juice before bed. Only drink water.

  • Make and keep your regular checkups and cleanings with your dentist.

  • Use any mouth care product or toothpaste as told by your dentist.

GET HELP RIGHT AWAY IF:

  • You have painful, red tissue around your teeth.

  • You have trouble chewing.

  • You have loose or infected teeth.

MAKE SURE YOU:

  • Understand these instructions.

  • Will watch your condition.

  • Will get help right away if you are not doing well or get worse.
