Fibroids

Fibroids are lumps (tumors) that can occur any place in a woman's body. These lumps are not cancerous. Fibroids vary in size, weight, and where they grow.

HOME CARE

  • Do not take aspirin.

  • Write down the number of pads or tampons you use during your period. Tell your doctor. This can help determine the best treatment for you.

GET HELP RIGHT AWAY IF:

  • You have pain in your lower belly (abdomen) that is not helped with medicine.

  • You have cramps that are not helped with medicine.

  • You have more bleeding between or during your period.

  • You feel lightheaded or pass out (faint).

  • Your lower belly pain gets worse.

MAKE SURE YOU:

  • Understand these instructions.

  • Will watch your condition.

  • Will get help right away if you are not doing well or get worse.
