Child Abuse Help Lines

If you suspect a child is being abused or you want to help a family get assistance, you can call your county's child protection agency. To find out about ways to prevent child abuse and support families:

  • Call Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline: 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453).

  • Visit the Childhelp website: www.childhelp.org.

  • Call your local child protective services.

It is always safer to report cases of child abuse rather than assuming everything is all right. A child often has no one to turn to or does not know where to go for help. It is up to you to be that child's lifeline.
